I went to Mr. Kurzer with a hernia. He did not press me for treatment and left it to me when to move forwards with an operation. I am a very nervous patient, but he well put my fears to rest and the actual operation went so smoothly. I expected some pain, but have been amazed that have had virtually none. After one day I even stopped taking pain killers. The cost of the treatment was worth ever penny. Thank you Mr. Kurzer!

Mr Kurzer was welcoming, efficient and reassuring from the first consultation through to post operation follow up. He ensured he understood my medical background and explained the procedure carefully and was available via e mail and phone for any follow up questions, the operation itself was scheduled quickly and conveniently. I was delighted by the surgery standard and follow up care, most notably very little bruising or scaring which I put down to good his good procedures. I cannot recommend Mr Kurzer highly enough.

Very impressed with Mr Kurzer - went down to London for the initial consultation, booked in for the hernia operation mid March, and this was carried out under general anaesthetic as mine was quite a large hernia. Felt fine that day, no pain when sitting, just painful to get out of bed and go to the toilet, but that was expected. Stayed overnight because of my other medical condition and travelled back home the next day after seeing Mr Kurzer that morning. The discomfort that day was quite a bit worse, but not unbearable, and I didn't need strong painkillers. Once home it was a bit difficult getting into bed/out of bed and in and out of chairs, pulling on socks and underwear etc.for the next day or so, but this eased gradually. I did experience fluid retention below the wound area and some bruising, but again this diminished gradually over the next week or so and I was soon driving again. Walking initially was slightly uncomfortable because of the fluid retention, but 2 weeks on from the operation I feel fine, have no discomfort, just a little tenderness around the wound when pressed which is to be expected. I am trying not to do too much as there is a tendency to want to carry on as normal, but I expect to resume my Pilates classes in May and go for longer walks soon. I am so pleased I did my research and chose Mr Kurzer to carry out this operation, he is very kind and approachable, highly regarded by his staff and I can highly recommend anyone considering this operation, to go ahead. Mr Kurzer also contacted me after my return home to check all was well, and this was appreciated.

I had a Bilateral Inguinal Hernia Surgery, carried out by Mr. Kurzer, on 6th March 2017. I was very satisfied with the result and everything is healing very nicely. Mr. Kurzer at the first meeting explained everything very clearly and I was confident about the outcome from the start. He was an excellent surgeon and clearly a specialist in this field. I would definitely recommend Mr. Kurzer for hernia repairs.

Operation 14 February 2017 (Aged 71) Mr Martin Kurzer in my opinion is a Surperb Surgeon, I think I am a very good judge as over the last fifty years this was my third inguinal hernia, having had one on each side. This one was the best by far, it should have been the worst, as the old scar that Mr Kurzer had to operate on was awful to look at 15mm wide scar, and it had never been that comfortable, so was not looking forward to a second repair. I did my homework and came across Mr Kurzer, his advice was that it might be a difficult one so suggested that I have a General Anaesthetic, he made me feel so confident at all times before and after the operation. My two previous hernia's, I was away from work for three months, I was in great discomfort for weeks and unable to stand up straight for a week, under Mr Kurzer I was up and walking, and home on the same day, pain relief was controlled by the odd paracetamol. What a wonderful man Mr Kurzer is, I had great care before and after the operation, and my scar looks fantastic just a thin neat line, such a clever man. As I have said to Mr Kurzer it's the BEST hernia I have ever had. I feel very lucky to be under his care.
